Dr. Maksim Tsvetovat has received his Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science. He's an adjunct associate professor of Computational Social Science at George Mason University, and in this capacity has taught courses on machine learning, social network analysis, big data analytics and data analysis for national security, and published over 50 peer-reviewed papers and a textbook. In 2009, Maksim has co-founded Deep Mile Networks, a data science consultancy that has worked with major brands including Delta Airlines, American Express, and Samsung. In 2013, Maksim has founded Open Health Network, a startup company dedicated to the premise of open data as a disruptive technology in healthcare. He has also worked as a data science and machine learning consultant to the industry, helping his clients take advanced analytics solution from an idea to a deployed production system.
