I tried many times and did not succeed to get anything viable going.  The best advice I got in the early days is get a job and save your money and when you have enough saves then invest in taking whatever risk you think will make that saving worth more in the future.  What this advice was telling me was to invest in gaining the experience early on and making mistakes when other people are paying me and once I made enough mistakes and learned from them I would reduce my own risk of starting a business.
